Samantha is Drinking?

There are no two words when we say actress Samantha is equivalent to director S S Rajamouli when it comes to scoring hits in Tollywood. She has not recorded a single flop so far. But recently she went off the radar for two months due to a mysterious illness which no one knows the details of.

Anyways, she is back and those who looked at her are asking only one thing “What is Samantha drinking?”. Apparently, Samantha looked very lean in ‘Dookudu’ then she got the health problem and she recovered but instead of looking a little worn out, the pretty starlet is looking awesomely sexy.

She has improved her shape and has got flesh at the right places. This got many wondering as to what she is drinking to look so tempting and hot. As usual, Samantha has been flashing that lovely smile and stealing hearts wherever she goes. If only she can share her secret, even other heroines can become hot and sexy like her.

Will 'Brothers' be phenomenal?

Surya plays the role of conjoined twins in Brothers, which is releasing this weekend (Oct 12). Surya who enjoys great fan following in Andhra Pradesh is confident that the film would hit the bull's eye. Brothers is going to be released in Andhra Pradesh in maximum number of screens and in USA market as well. 

The film has evoked good interest among audiences since it is being directed by K V Anand, whose last film, Rangam, was a smash hit in Telugu. Surya playing Siamese twins is major attraction.  

"But the film is not merely about conjoined twins," Surya says. "It has much more to offer. There will be a lot of mystery, twist and unpredictable turns."

When asked about the challenges he has faced performing the roles, he agreed that it was most excruciating role that he has done in his career. "Thanks to K V Anand sir, and VFX specialist Srinivasan, I could achieve it. I shot for almost 170 days for the movie," he informed us. 

For the first time in his career, he dubbed his voice in Telugu too. "With the help from writer Shashank Vennelakanti, I tried my best to sound very natural in Telugu. My brother Karthi also helped me. I also should thank him for dubbing the other role that I did in the film," he added. 

Surya also rates K V Anand as one of the best directors in India.

Kamal’s wish, a film school

Kamal Haasan’s passion for cinema is well-known. The actor’s latest step is trying to facilitate the setting up of a school in Chennai, in a bid to help aspiring young technicians in the film industry hone their skills.

When the actor recently addressed the media during a recent FICCI conference, he revealed, “When I grew up, wanting to be an actor, there were no facilities or places where we could learn acting. But now, facilities have increased tremendously and several acting schools have emerged. However, there are no proper training schools for people working as film technicians, stunt artists and other who work hard behind the scenes. We’re trying to set that up and working out the details currently.”

Meanwhile, the Ulaganayagan will be part of the screenwriting workshops during the conclave that will be held later this month in the city. And the big news for fans of the actor is this — Oscar-winning producer Barrie Osborne (of the Lord of the Rings trilogy) will be present during that do and is set to ink a deal with Kamal Haasan for his next flick. It is said that the producer was impressed with Kamal’s performance in Dasavatharam and will rope in the actor for a movie in Hollywood.

Bhumika turns into a poetess

Bhumika Chawla, started her career as an actress, then moved onto production with the movie 'Thakita Thakita', and now the talented star has become a poetess. Yes the actress has written a series of poems that will be released very soon.

"I have been writing poems for a long time and I have compiled them now. There is no particular theme as the poems cover a wide range of topics", says Bhumika.

The book will be released in Hindi, along with English translations. And if the repsonse is good, she plans to translate and release them in Telugu and Tamil as well, attracting her fans from the South.

Recently, rumors were doing the rounds stating the actress would be separating from her husband. Here is what she had to say in reponse, "It's a part of the game and the media has to come out with spicy stories. There is not an iota of truth in it."

Well, the paparazzi will always linger around, be it a good or bad reason.

Tamannaah Bhatia: "I will never leave the South cinema"

Tamannaah Bhatia has come a long way. This pretty actress, started her career in Bollywood and with such a good start, she could have reigned the Hindi film industry.

But the actress, moved to the South, and today she is one of the best in the Telugu and Tamil film industry. But yet again, she is back in B-Town, acting in a couple of movies. Her much awaited flick 'Himmatwala' will be releasing soon, where she will be seen reprising the role of Sridevi.

The buzz is that, according to sources, since she has a strong hold in B-Town, it is heard that she will be leaving the South and concentrating more in Bollywood.

But Tamannaah made sure to put an end to the rumors as she stated, "How can I leave the South? There is no question of not doing Telugu and Tamil movies. I will do Hindi films and at the same time, I will be signing a few projects in the South too."

It is but obvious, that Tamannaah will not let go of any towns, especially when she has a chance of making it big as a versatile actress.

Karthi Dubs for Suriya

Sunday mornings seems to have changed for namma Karthi. The actor, who has been dubbing for the Telugu versions of his films, was busy dubbing for his brother Suriya as well for the Telugu version of his upcoming film in Chennai yesterday.

“Anna (Suriya) has become really exhausted after his hectic schedules and that’s why I pitched in. Moreover, there was a perception that if I dub for one of the characters (Suriya plays conjoined twins in the film), the difference between the two characters will be very drastic,” he says.

In the meantime, Karthi’s next with Venkat Prabhu is all set to kick-start in Ambur this month. However, Karthi maintains that the leading ladies are not finalized.

 Director Selvaraghavan has said that he is toying with the idea of remaking Mayakkam Enna in Telugu. Mayakkam Enna, which stars Dhanush and Richa in the lead roles, is due to be released soon and the audio that hit the stores yesterday is turning out to be a huge hit; thanks to GV Prakash’s tunes. When Selva was questioned if he would have Mayakkam Enna dubbed in Telugu, the director replied that he might remake the film and plans are on in this direction. Looks like an announcement is in the offing!
